is a user-friendly, intuitive, and secure web-based system designed to
help companies and academic institutions manage scheduling and tracking
of training sessions efficiently. Using Golatac-OSSTP will help you to
increase attendance and save you valuable time and money. The
full-featured version of Golatac software allows you to delegate
training scheduling, and allows users to pre-populate and use templates
to speed up operations. Unlike other scheduling systems, Golatac-OSSTP
is fully customizable to meet the specific needs of your company or
institution.
Medium/Large Companies
At medium and large
companies, each department (or a group of
departments) provides training for its employees. Examples include
workshops, webinars, lectures, guest speaker sessions, job trainings,
product orientations, meetings, and face-to-face trainings etc.
Training registration typically includes the provider sending out
training reminders in electronic and paper-based formats. Employees are
then required to complete a sign-up sheet or registration form,
resubmit it to the training provider, and wait for the training to take
place. It can be difficult for the training provider to keep track of
attendees, because of the multiple formats in which training requests
are submitted. Oftentimes the training is forgotten, even if the
provider sends out frequent reminders. Trainees also lack a single
record of the training that has been completed.
Occasionally, either the trainer or trainee has forgotten about a
training session, or a session becomes overbooked. The Administrative
Assistant will send out a company-wide email that reads something like
this: "If you are scheduled to attend the following training session,
please confirm as soon as possible, otherwise, your place may not be
guaranteed".
Higher Education
Academic
institutions are frequently more complex than companies because:
1. The number of
departments and administrators is usually larger.
2. They may choose to offer training not only to staff and faculty
members, but also to students, alumni, and community groups.
With the increasing number of departments offering training and
increased number of trainees, scheduling and tracking becomes
cumbersome.
In both these
scenarios, tracking of training is performed manually -
if the records are accurate and archived. It can be difficult to know
who offered training, who signed up, and who attended.
